Lane Shuler returns with new single, featuring posthumous appearance from beloved Knoxville vocalist Alonzo Rodgers.
Hot off the heels of releases with rap legend Rob Sonic (Aesop Rock, El-P), and Rhymesayers standout producer Sol Messiah (Jay-Z, Atmosphere & KXNG Crooked), Lane Shuler is back with his piano-driven anthem, 'Body and The Blood'.
The song features bone-chilling vocals from legendary Knoxville singer Alonzo Rodgers, who was tragically killed in a drive by shooting late last year. The song was recorded just months before Alonzo's murder.
"This song is for everyone who has ever believed in me" Shuler says, "those still with us, and those that have passed. It's for everyone from my town and my life still struggling to make it through. I'll never stop fighting for those people."
The piano riff is written and played by Shuler himself, beautifully blended with a blistering, arena-ready instrumental by producer Will Johnson.
