ONEGRAVE and I had worked together on a few joints here and there, and then he approached me with the idea of rapping over some of his beats for an entire project. He already had the artwork lined up, which explains the AK chilling in the midst of religious iconography on a Sankofa album.
ONEGRAVE was on a tear, sending me dope track after dope track, and I'd get back to him with my progress. As time went on, I heard less and less from him, until the day came when he told me he'd moved on with his life, sold his equipment, and was leaving music behind. ONEGRAVE was gracious enough to give me his blessing to release this album and I am as grateful for his gift as I am sad that the world won't be hearing more from him.
Music is sacred to me and I'm about to cry as I type this.
May you enjoy our work.
