Overseas Business V.2 by dom 2xL & Playboy Payso

Born and raised in Brooklyn’s Brevoort Housing Projects, Payso Lamont learned at an early age that there was always more he could do. As the middle son and a product of a single mother household he witnessed first hand the struggles his mother went through to provide for him, his younger siblings and cousins. At the age of eleven Payso's household responsibilities increased to buying the groceries, along with picking up and watching the younger children in his household - oftentimes alone with them until his mother came home from work. These early experiences taught Payso the importance of money and what it meant to want for it. As the middle child, Payso’s desire to help his mother hold down the household, prompted his involvement with the Brevoort basketball league by coaching the Brevoort Biddies (6-10yrs). He assisted in the local community center by providing a music program to help many of the kids in Brevoort channel their creativity, and unknowingly channeled his own. But Payso desired more and was reminded that he could do more if he wanted to be great. Payso started to hustle with the Get Money crew and it is where he would meet his best friend Gram Kash. Gram Kash and Payso not only hustled together, they dreamed of putting New York back on the Hip Hop map. Growing up in Brooklyn during the Golden Era of Hip Hop, Payso was influenced by the sounds of Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Fabolous, DMX, Lloyd Banks, & Young Jeezy and found a strong connection to the early beats and lyrics of a young Mobb Deep. When asked what about their music inspired him, he simply responds by saying “It was the desperation, the loneliness, the hunger, that underdog factor” that spoke to him musically. Dubbed “Playboy P” by Gram Kash and another friend from his crew, Blizz, realized they had something special when Vado, listened to Payso’s verse of a song they worked on and realized that he was a true fan of Hip Hop. But it wasn’t until after the murder of his friend Gram Kash, that Payso decided to go for it all. Adopted from the original hustling crew name Get Money, OGM (Operation Get Money) was born because it was more than just getting money, it was about the business of getting money. The Game Be Deep, Playboy P’s current mixtape was influenced by everyday life and the exploration of the outcomes of his daily decisions. The mixtape features artist such as Gram Kash, Mardi Shabam, Royal Flush Rome, & Tsunami East. With the release of Dolo and Potent, Playboy P hopes to bring a certain type of 90’s hip hop flair back to the NY hip hop music scene. "At that moment when the microphone touches my hand, my heart is racing but my mind says GO!
