Massachusetts rapper Abyss teams up with Bronx legend Nine on their latest release, "Motion," a rebrand of the original "Space Fumes" as part of the 2024 remix series. With vintage boom-bap vibes and gritty, ominous sonics, the track showcases the undeniable style between both artists.
Abyss expresses his gratitude for the opportunity to work with Nine, one of his favorite rappers growing up, making this record more of a personally fulfilling drop. It features the renowned turntablist DJ Slipwax, whose cuts stab through the sonic spectrum perfectly.
"Motion" is a testament to the raw talent and creativity of all involved. Abyss took a hands-on approach to this project. Creatively speaking, he handled all of the facets from start to finish, including the production, mixing, and even designing the cover and videos.
