Nyark kicked off the year in January with ‘Audio Couture’, a well received six track EP that was in fact the label’s first ever various artist releases. Now in August we unleash ‘Striving For Greatness’, a label compilation of fourteen tracks compiled and curated by Mindor. Featuring the lyrical talents of Wild Samson, Hazz, Airklipz, GOLD, Trademark Blud, LATE, Jimmy Screech and D7, ‘Striving For Greatness’ is an album that hits from start to finish. Production comes from the likes of Thugs Bunny, Josh Esh, Sunday, Midas Cash, Ace Bimma, Beatenaunt and Bop Phrases and is musical journey into planet Nyark where we some superb solo songs and some killer collaboration cuts. This compilation album comes with five music videos so be sure to check out the Nyark You Tube channel as they drop in August.
Nyark’s first signings Wild Samson and Hazz get us underway with the brilliant Thugs Bunny produced ‘Multi Verses’. Thugs then gives it for the Midlands to London collobo ‘Hurt’ by Airklipz and Trademark Blud, before getting the heavy hitting video track ‘The Search’ by South East London artist Gold. There’s also a video for the next track which sees Hazz and Wild Samson team up with UK legend LATE for ‘In The Slumber’ produced by Thugs Bunny. Sunday gives up the goods for ‘Grand Designs’ from Lewisham rhymer’s Jimmy Screech and Airklipz, which too comes with a video. Next up talented Midland’s artist Trademark Blud gives us a taste of what to expect from his forthcoming EP on Nyark with the solo video track ‘Exit Wounds’.
Nyark regular’s Airklipz, Hazz, Wild Samson kill it ‘Run Rabbit Run’, Josh Esh provides a crazy beat for ‘The Raw’ by Wild Samson, LATE, Trademark Blud and those who like it chilled will love Hazz and Airklipz’s smokers anthem ‘Burn’. The albums tenth track is Wild Samson’s superb solo track ‘Anchors’ produced by Sunday which comes with a video. Airklipz rocks out on a musical Josh Esh beat with ‘Get You Out Of My Head’, with Hazz’s smooth chilled solo joint ‘Under The Night Sky’ following. Wild Samson teams with London’s D7 and the lyrical giant that is Trademark Blud for ‘Warrior Spirit’, before we ‘Say Peace’ on the Thugs Bunny produced outro track. Fourteen tracks, eight different artists, seven different producers, one sound… NYARK.
