"Tawsna" (knowledge) by the Canarian artist Magek is a musical and lyrical journey, with rhymes that are masterfully intertwined between versatile metrics, full of metaphors and ingenious ideas that invite reflection, all on beats with a classic HipHop sound, with powerful drums, deep bass and addictive melodies, full of elaborate samples accompanied by synthesizers and keyboards. On the album we find tracks of conscious Rap and social protest such as "Todo sigue igual", "Revolución" or "La ley del Karma". More introspective tracks such as "El renacido" where he talks about how to get out of the worst stages of life until finding oneself or "He renunciado a ti" where he tells us how he gave up all the things that hurt us and we do not need. We also find songs more focused on demonstrating lyrical skill (I competed), with forceful bars like in "Soy", "Destructor de egos", "Por si quieres saber", "Reflexiones de sillas" or "Versos Apócrifos". Songs like "Every sunshine" where he talks about the meaning of complete happiness and the really important things in life. Songs like "Dream Maker" that talks about fighting to fulfill our dreams, "De Principios a Final" that invites reflection or "Mi inclusión" talking about the inspiration of an artist as if it were a capricious entity that appears when you least expect it in the form of a muse. Tawsna (LP) achieves an unusual balance between lyrics and beats where Magek shows us his mastery as a beatmaker as well, producing 13 of the 14 tracks on the album.
