Imani Nichele is a poet, rapper, singer/songwriter & DJ. Born & raised in Detroit, MI – her work has diverse influences on spectrums between alternative, folk and underground Hip-Hop. Imani Nichele is the 2018 Detroit Youth Poet Laureate, a title given to one teen each year by InsideOut Literary Arts Project to promote literacy, artistic engagement, and civic awareness among peers.
