The brand new album from Lansing, Michigan rapper Maddog McGraw & Queens, New York producer Ras Beats. This is their 1st album together, having previously collaborated on 2 singles. They now join up for "Michigan & The Mecca", a true music collaboration, written completely by Maddog & completely produced by Ras.
The album is a 9-song effort, showing the different sides of Maddog's lyrical ability as he takes you on a tour through Lansing, showcasing his southern roots, story telling rhymes, clever word play and superior braggadocious rhyme schemes over a variety of standout Ras instrumentals. The beats compliment the lyrics perfectly, as Ras brings his whole arsenal out, giving Maddog an array of chopped up synths, choirs, horn stabs, basslines, guitars and synths to express himself to.
This is a project to tune in to, a run-time of just under 30 minutes following the timeless recipe of one MC/one Producer approach to making hip hop albums.
