Hegz is a ferocious MC who has made a successful transition from battle rapper to lyrical thug with his debut LP. Having single-handedly taken out everybody in the New Zealand rap battle league (which is well-documented on YouTube), his reputation for venomous bars and flows is held in high regard in the underground rap world. Naturally, this debut release offers a glimpse into the mind of a guy who thinks deeply and explores dark themes. Accompanied by minimal, melodic, and hard-hitting jazzy production from Dirty Hairy, this offering is raw and heavy.
